Mears Mechanical respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle information collected through our website and in connection with customer inquiries, service and billing.
Information we collect
When you contact us or request service, we collect information you provide, such as your name, phone number, email, service address or ZIP code, property type, service needs, scheduling preferences, preferred contact method and message. We maintain service, estimate, invoice and payment records in our business systems. Do not enter credit card numbers, passwords or sensitive financial information in the general service-request form.
How we use information
We use customer information to respond to inquiries, discuss service needs, schedule appointments, prepare estimates, perform HVAC work, communicate about service and handle billing. Choosing phone, email or text as your preferred contact method is not a signup for promotional messages. If we introduce promotional messages in the future, we will provide appropriate signup and opt-out choices and update this policy.
Sharing and service providers
We do not sell or rent customer personal information or share it with other businesses for their own marketing. We use providers to support website hosting and forms, communications, service management and payment processing, including Wix, Microsoft 365, Aptora and Authorize.net. Information may be processed by these providers as needed to support those activities. We may disclose information when required by applicable law.
Website technology and cookies
Our website is hosted by Wix. Wix and website features may process IP addresses, browser and device information, page activity, cookies and similar identifiers to operate and secure the site and measure its use. Some technologies are essential; others support analytics or third-party features. Where cookie controls are available, use them to review or change your choices. You can also manage cookies through your browser, although disabling them may affect site functions. We use Usercentrics for cookie-consent management when the banner is enabled. This policy does not imply that every third-party technology is controlled by the banner.
External services
Links to Google reviews and FTL financing take you to external services with their own privacy practices. Financing applications are submitted to the lender. Card payments are handled through our business payment-processing systems, not through the general inquiry form.
How long we keep information
We currently keep customer service and billing records indefinitely and do not have a fixed automatic deletion schedule for those records. You may request deletion. We review requests in light of applicable requirements and any need to retain records for service history, accounting, legal obligations or dispute resolution. Website providers may have different retention periods for technical data.
